Band Of Horses at Fox Theatre

After spending years in the shadows with the spell-checkless Seattle band Carissa’s Wierd, Ben Bridwell finally stepped up to the mic in 2006 with Band Of Horses and has since delivered a pair of hyper-fine and understated albums: The widespread debut Everything All The Time—which included “The Funeral,” a song that continues to pop up in commercials and various soundtracks seemingly every few months—and 2007’s Cease To Begin. Both still sound as timeless now as indie-rock could hope to be, and stand to age well. Band Of Horses recently confirmed a long-awaited third album, Infinite Arms, to be released in May, although there’s still speculation as what label will actually be putting it out.
