Started by entrepreneur/musician/everywoman DJ Sara T., Danceotron has been tagged as Denver’s “No Bullshit Dance Party” since its inception in 2001. Strictly enforcing a no-egos policy at the door, the local expatriate Sara T. brings her good vibes and versatile record collection all the way from her adopted home Los Angeles to play alongside Denver’s mixmasters of her choosing. Although the (sort of) monthly event has moved from bar to warehouse to club and back again, Danceotron’s floor is always packed full of familiar smiling faces. Dropping everything from Neneh Cherry to 69 Boyz, the musical flavor is ever changing, but the booty shaking at Sara T.’s signature shindigs is always a given.
