A favorite of baggy-bottomed candy ravers and expensively attired Euro stylists, Tiesto makes trance with a high gloss quotient and worldly airs. The Dutch DJ-producer has spun out a bunch of mix-discs and a few “artist albums” big on the charts and in excitable dance magazines. He made a surprisingly brooding move on his 2004 album Just Be, and offered an interesting take on his soundview with Parade Of The Athletes, a soundtrack to the set he played at the Olympics’ opening ceremonies in Greece. He’ll DJ here, touring behind his brand-new Kaleidoscope, so expect big gooey tunes with pregnant atmospheres, epic builds, and heaving release.
