Michael Travis and Jason Hann might be the missing link between the jam-band world's bluegrass lovers and its growing electronic wing. The two former String Cheese Incident members ditched that band's acoustic sounds for keyboards and laptops to form EOTO, debuting their downtempo trip-hop on 2006's Elephants Only Talk Occasionally. Of course, the trance-like electronica will stretch out still further in a live setting, so the show bootlegs EOTO offers as downloads might be more representative than albums like last year's Razed. It’s not exactly thrill-a-minute stuff, but the meditative quality seems to be the point. (Still, it bears an uncanny resemblance to dentist’s-office on-hold music.)
