Hatebreed, Cannibal Corpse, Unearth, Born Of Osiris, and Hate Eternal at Ogden Theatre

Hatebreed hails from Connecticut, where it started pummeling eardrums in 1994 before moving up to such big genre showcases as Ozzfest. The band's public profile increased when singer Jamey Jasta took a gig as host of MTV2's re-launched Headbanger's Ball, on which he helped to bring underground metal to the surface. But, even with national-level attention, Hatebreed has continued to maintain ties to its humble hardcore beginnings, even as its music over the last decade has gotten increasingly heavier (that is, less core, more metal). The band’s 2009 self-titled release is much more of the same musical brutality, even with longtime guitarist Sean Martin’s exit and replacement by founding member Wayne Lozniak.
