Interpol and White Rabbits at Ogden Theatre

The members of Interpol managed to cross over without ever looking or sounding like they were trying too hard. Sure, the lyrics can occasionally be cringe-worthy, but Interpol’s dark-yet-accessible albums of gray-hued post-punk still sound absolutely terrific. Since the band’s major-label debut, 2007’s Our Love To Admire, the group has amicably parted ways with bassist Carlos Dengler, but not before recording a new self-titled album that was released in September to middling reviews. Despite singer Paul Banks’ assertions that it has some very “classical stuff going on,” it’s really just more of the same old Interpol.
