Denver’s Lion Sized plays highly energetic, gritty rock that’s as confrontational as The Weirdos and as calculated as Fugazi, and with the lyrical wiles to match. It’s been a few years between releases; the last recorded effort was a self-titled, self-released EP in 2006, a terse, electric post-punk album lauded by the local press. It’s certainly been a long wait, though it finally pays off here: Lion Sized will release the new Cough Up Your Teeth EP, and early reviews are (unsurprisingly) very favorable.
