    Pulp Fiction at Muenzinger Auditorium

In the years since it changed the face of independent cinema, Quentin Tarantino’s Pulp Fiction has spawned many direct (and often lousy) imitations, but its puzzle structure, unabashed affection for genre, and dazzling style still seem fresh and inspiring. Told in mixed-up chronology, the three interlocking stories concern a memorable “date” between a hit man (John Travolta) and his boss’ wife (Uma Thurman), a boxer (Bruce Willis) on the run from crooks after refusing to throw a fight, and the cleanup following an accidental shooting. Numerous scenes have aged into classics, like Christopher Walken telling the story of an heirloom gold watch.
