Ray Davies and The 88 at Ogden Theatre
The Kinks' legacy has sadly been overshadowed by their more famous fellow British rockers, but they produced some of the best rock of the '60s and '70s. Solo since the band's 1996 break-up, wry frontman Ray Davies has recently turned back to his old music, covering Kinks classics on both last year’s The Kinks Choral Collection (with the Crouch End Festival Chorus) and an in-progress redux with artists like Bruce Springsteen and The Killers, and even dropping hints about The Kinks’ first album of new material since 1993's Phobia.
