Roy Vs. Roy
Chuck Roy and Ben Roy and Adam Cayton-Holland
-
Fri Oct 16
7:30 pm
Roy Vs. Roy at Comedy Works (Greenwood Village)
Chuck Roy is loud. Ben Roy may be louder. The two Denver stand-ups—no relation, although surely there must be a bear/cub joke or two—are pretty obnoxious dudes, which is not to say that they are unfunny. That’s actually just their thing, and it works well: Chuck is the blusterous, openly gay host, making his reputation as the quick-witted, no-one-is-safe commentator who (usually) ends up calling out a few audience members before turning the joke on himself; Ben is loudmouthed and self-deprecating, like the really angry ADD-addled kid that yells a lot and hates everything. The guys team up here in a Roy vs. Roy match-up that will include individual sets and plenty of roast-style jabs at each other.
