The PacSun Tour may be youth-marketing tactics at its most transparent, but is it really any worse than the various other teen-friendly, multi-band bills (Warped Tour, AP Tour, and so on)? Headliner Saosin plays emotive hard rock that’s commercially palatable, although its newest, In Search Of Solid Ground, has received mostly middling reviews from both critics and fans. Direct support P.O.S. comes from the Midwest school of hip-hop, and with the release of this year’s Never Better—an exceptional record that spotlights him as one of the Twin Cities’ best MCs—he may just end up stealing the entire show.
