Signal Path, The Chain Gang Of 1974, Prepschool, and Jansten at City Hall

Following in the footsteps of friends and tourmates 3OH!3, Kamtin Mohager (a.k.a. The Chain Gang Of 1974) employs a similar holler-over-sampled-beats method to collect his Internet fans. However, unlike his area-coded homies, Mohager doesn’t seem to get his own joke—tracks like “We At The Disco” and “DANCEKISSLOVEMOVE” position the (mostly) one-man band as more of a too serious LCD Soundsystem rip-off than a humor-driven performer. Regardless of the snarky connotations, Mohager may be the hardest working man in the Denver music business: As The Chain Gang Of 1974, he will release two full-lengths, Fantastic Nostalgic: The Early Recordings and Mad Paranoid,as well as a six-song EP, White Guts, all before the summer of 2010.
