As the frontman for California punk band Lagwagon, Joey Cape keeps things fast and furious, but he also plays the field stylistically in projects like cover band Me First And The Gimme Gimmes. He makes another stylistic swerve as a solo artist on last year’s Bridge, going for a stripped-down and soulful sound reminiscent of Elliott Smith.
