Synthetic Elements at City HallDenver's Synthetic Elements might not be the hippest band to pop up in the local scene, but that's its strength: Playing a refreshingly uncool fusion of pop-punk, ska, and even a bit of acoustic folk, the group has built a strong following in town based on bouncy hooks and a tone both goofy and earnest. At this Gothic Theatre show, Synthetic Elements celebrates the release of its racing new full-length, Trashed Out Paradise, which was recorded at Fort Collins's Blasting Room with help from the Descendents' Bill Stevenson and follows up the outfit's 2006 debut, Standing Still.City Hall 1144 Broadway, Denver/Boulder, CO
