Telepath, Flying Skulls, and Fresh2Death at Fox Theatre
Boulder’s Fresh2Death picks up where most DJ live shows drop off, bringing what producers do in the studio—namely digital tweaking and remixing—back to the club. The onstage laptop collaboration of DJs Fisk and Samples pushes glitchy trip-hop to yet-explored boundaries. It is a genuine live experience with all the assorted ups (perfectly timed mash-ups) and downs (equipment fuck-ups and shitty sound). But those are the risks of any show, and Fresh2Death seems ready, if not totally eager, for it.
