Ohio-based outfit Two Cow Garage plays country-tinged rock driven by Rust Belt desperation, as evidenced by the title of its 2002 debut, Please Turn The Gas Back On. Its last studio album, 2008’s Speaking In Cursive (released on Denver label Suburban Home Records), wears its debt to Uncle Tupelo and Say What You Will…-era Soul Asylum on its sleeve, but does credit to them both, staying intelligent while examining a smattering of serious subjects.
