It's hard not to feel like Georgia's Zac Brown Band has arrived at a weapons-grade formula for spreading good vibes as it opens its big-selling 2008 album The Foundation with "Toes": It's a solid pop-country tune in which Brown convincingly announces his intention to "roll a big fat one" and chill out on the beach. Dabbling in bits of Dave Matthews, Jimmy Buffett, and reggae while also staying grounded in twangy vocals and fiddle, the band concocts one of the most ambitious and accomplished recipes for friendly cheese this generation has yet seen. For all of that, it's often genuinely likeable, and boasts some fine musicianship that'll make this show all the more entertaining.
