Like a commercially friendly version of his father Frank, Dweezil Zappa’s prolific career has taken on many forms: the second-oldest child in the Zappa family is a composer, musician, actor, and one-time MTV VJ, among other titles. While Zappa has been popping up in all streams of popular culture over the last couple of decades, his greatest accomplishment may be the creation and production of Zappa Plays Zappa—a traveling show of musicians playing from his father’s deep catalog—which he begun in 2006 and continues to tour with today.
