The Wrap reports that Electronic Arts is developing a sports comedy based on the so-called “Madden Curse,” the legendary hex alleged to befall any NFL player who appears on the cover of the Madden line of video games. Last night John Hughes received his own personal tribute at the Academy Awards. Now the late writer-director might have a previously unproduced screenplay in development. Acoording to The Hollywood Reporter, Paramount has expressed interest in producing Hughes’ Grisbys Go Broke, about a wealthy Chicago family that loses its riches and is forced to move to the boonies. The studio says they would hope to make it into a family comedy, with Alice In Wonderland producer Joe Roth attached.
