Super Bowl fun without any football

Hey, it’s okay. You can enjoy the Super Bowl and its surrounding festivities without having those coveted tickets to the big game. And you can even do so without bringing up any long-suppressed, dateless-prom memories. You don’t even have to walk aimlessly through the downtown scene! You can participate fully even if you dislike football.
The Super Bowl Village—a free, 10-day (Jan. 27-Feb. 5), family-friendly squatter’s paradise—boasts a surprisingly varied slate of happenings.
Adventurous sports fans and non-sports fans alike can fly through the streets of downtown (without dreaming or drugs) on the longest temporary zipline in the United States. The Super Bowl Village zipline will run down Capitol Avenue, with $10 tickets to the attraction being sold on site daily.
Those who are not so big on heights can get their (ahem) hamster on by competing for time in a 100-yard dash using a human-powered hamster-wheel contraption. The best times will be announced daily to assist in the claiming of bragging rights.
And there’s something for fans of virtual activity as well. Members of this crowd can immerse themselves in full-body gaming at the Kinect NFL Play 60 FanDome, a 360-degree inflated dome that responds to body movement, not a controller.
But the main attraction here has got to be the music, with tons of acts playing two stages for the duration of the event. Here’s the full lists of artists who are scheduled, representing just about every taste:
