Roll Call A few sketch ideas in case Aaron Rodgers really does appear on Saturday Night Live

We already know how well he does in commercials.

More Roll Call

The rumor mill is circulating that Aaron Rodgers is talking with current Saturday Night Live members about hosting the show. This would clearly be a huge, breakthrough moment in Rodgers’ evolution into a superstar, and it would allow him to do something that Favre never did. But who cares about that stuff? Let’s talk about possible sketches he could do, because that truly is the most important thing.

• Rodgers, like Carmelo Anthony and Derek Jeter, will probably receive the honor of dressing up like a woman—but which woman? Put a blonde wig on him, have him be Erin Andrews, and have him interview Andy Samberg as Aaron Rodgers on a set that’s supposed to be Lambeau Field in New York, but it’s supposed to be Green Bay. A sketch within a sketch within a sketch.

• The show will have to mention that the Giants won the Super Bowl, and that they beat Rodgers and the Packers. There is no joke for this. That is too sad to joke about.

• Would Rodgers risk doing a Favre sketch? Jason Sudeikis does a great Brett Favre impression, and the show could play off the Wrangler commercials again with Rodgers beating Favre at his own game: mud football in jeans.

• Have Jay Pharoah play Jermichael Finley. Have Rodgers throw passes at him. Have Finley drop them all and complain about his contract. Scene.

• We should also figure out the musical guest. Lil Wayne would work. He loves the Packers! He also could do a sketch as Tramon Williams. No idea what the sketch would involve, but probably something about not being able execute man coverage.

There are so many more options. Let’s make this happen, SNL. It would be much better if Rodgers spent a week doing this than practicing or something.
