HOLIDAY SALE AT THE ONION STORE

Acid Mothers Temple and David Bazan sneak into Madison this weekend

It's a bittersweet day in the Decider camp, as we've just learned that Japanese psychedelic-rock legends Acid Mothers Temple will bring their world-renowned live show to Madison this Saturday. Awesome, right? Wait, there are a couple of snags: The show is at fucking noon and it will be held at the Good Style clothing store on East Wash, which can only fit, say, 25 people, tops. The lucky handful that get in will likely have their faces blissfully melted off by the prog-rockers' sonic fuckery. And maybe the early time is better, considering Saturday evening's already a gauntlet of great shows. AMT are currently touring behind three 2009 releases: Lord Of The Underground: Vishnu And The Magic Elixir; Are We Experimental; and the even more curiously titled Dark Side Of The Black Moon.

In similarly thrilling yet frustrating news, David Bazan of Pedro The Lion fame will apparently be playing an unpromoted, sold-out house show in Madison this Friday. Bazan is currently doing an entire tour of house shows. We'll let you know if we can get any info on how to crash that sucker and enjoy an intimate performance of Bazan's great songs, but don't count on it. Huzzah, and sighs.
