Alejandro Escovedo to return to High Noon Saloon in March
More Just Announced
As much as we like to hear what our fellow youngsters are contributing to the world of music, it's often the older, more reliable folks who really keep up our morale. A classic case would be Texan singer-songwriter Alejandro Escovedo, who seems to be kicking as much ass in his late 50s as most guys do in their 20s. His shows in recent years have re-connected with his punk-rock past, but also with country and melodies from south of the border. Plus, he's pretty cool about keeping Madison on his tour route. Escovedo and band return with a March 29 show at the High Noon Saloon. From the originals to covers like Neil Young's "Powderfinger" and The Velvet Underground's "Pale Blue Eyes," he reliably puts on a great show.
