Brink Lounge changes stance on rap shows?

A Feb. 15 incident following a hip-hop show at the Brink Lounge continues to spark charges that Madison police used unnecessary force, but now the club's being a bit more sympathetic about the stigma that rap artists might face in its wake. Matt Brink told 77 Square, in a story posted this weekend, that he'll try hosting a "similar event" after taking some time to "let this all die down." Three people involved in the incident, including Rob Dz and DJ Fusion, have filed formal complaints against the Madison Police Department, charging that cops called to break up a fight at the club "rough[ed] up" and pepper-sprayed patrons.
