Built To Spill's Doug Martsch to play DJ set after Friday show
Even after the last note of the last pensive guitar solo rings out at Built To Spill's Friday show at the Barrymore, BTS leader Doug Martsch won't be finished sharing his varied musical compulsions with Madison for the evening. The Majestic Theatre has just informed us that Martsch will be bouncing over there later in the evening for a DJ set, joining a previously booked show by DJ Motion Potion. We're not really sure what to tell you to expect, but apparently he likes to do these DJ sets on tour when possible. A recent report in his hometown paper, Boise Weekly found Martsch spinning a mix of soul, reggae, and rock at a club there, so maybe he's got as much diversity on the turntables/laptop/iPod as he does on the axe?
