More Just Announced

It's always a mixed blessing when band you're into gets added to the bill of a big show that's already sold-out. Which means it's time to gently taunt any Califone fans who were not among the rush to buy up tickets for Wilco's Feb. 20 show at Overture Hall. The band's most recent album, All My Friends Are Funeral Singers, also functions as a soundtrack to member Tim Rutili's film of the same title. It's not clear yet whether their opening set for the sold-out show will involve the band playing along while the film screens, as Califone's been doing at headlining shows recently, but that would look pretty cool in a place as big as Overture. Either way, it'll be Madison's first chance to hear a lot of this new stuff live, so if you've already got a ticket, you can feel even luckier.
