Chief’s Tavern will give us the gift of dine-in Buck’s Pizza
After the initial sadness that the wonderful Floyd And Donna’s Packer Inn at 300 Cottage Grove Road has closed comes the best news of the year that the new tenant, Chief’s Tavern will be serving Buck’s Pizza for dine-in. Buck’s is located right across the street—with another location at 5502 University Ave.—and has only offered carry-out up to this point. That’s cool because we’d burrow to the center of the Earth with our bare hands if we knew there was some Buck’s Pizza down there. But having a chance sit down, order a ’za and pitcher, and do it up right makes Buck’s amazing pizza even more amazing. Let’s all meet at Chief’s for pizza and beer on Feb. 13 when the new restaurant plans to open.
