Clipse cancels April 18 show at Majestic
Apparently all that riding around and shinin' has drained Clipse's transportation fund: The Majestic Theatre announced today that the Virginia rap duo's scheduled April 18 show there has been canceled, claiming that Clipse will not have enough dirty money to cover travel expenses. What, do keys not open doors anymore? Majestic owners Matt Gerding and Scott Leslie took the rare step of setting off a press release like Chinese new year—even going so far as to call out Clipse's booking agent by name, and include this quote from Leslie: "I'm not quite sure how the decision to tour could possibly come without advance consideration of travel expenses. It's a relatively critical component of live music touring." Well, maybe they just figured they'd get it for cheap. At any rate, the Majestic is surely so sorry this cancellation business is so obnoxious, and advance tickets will be refunded (wamp wamp).
