Dan Deacon to play yet another crazy Madison show (with No Age and Deerhunter)
The college students who book shows for the Wisconsin Union Directorate are sometimes wacky dreamers. Last year, one of them told Decider of his plan to have Flosstradamus play on a fucking day-cruise boat on Lake Monona. Well, the show hitting the Terrace on August 6 doesn't carry the same risk of drowning, and it was the artists' idea, but the idea of having it happen at that space is rather nuts all the same: Dan Deacon (hey, he was just here!), Deerhunter, and No Age (hey, those two played here last year!) will converge on the Terrace for a co-headlining date. It's part of the three band's "round robin" tour, which will involve each band setting up at once and alternating songs. (The Union folks say this may actually involve having three separate stages somehow.) Deacon pulled off a similar tour last year with a bunch of his fellow Baltimore artists, so we're assuming he's as good at coordinating this stuff as he is at corraling his audiences into such "activities" as the "human tunnel."
