Early Forward Music Festival announcements: Ra Ra Riot and Cougar

We'll have a much bigger announcement about one of Forward Music Festival's headliners next Tuesday, June 30, at noon, but as of now we know that the festival (Sept. 17-19) will bring Ra Ra Riot to the High Noon Saloon on Sept. 18 and Madison-formed instrumental rock group Cougar to the Majestic Theatre on Sept. 19. Cougar will be out behind its second album, the adventurous Patriot (due out in August), and Ra Ra Riot will apparently be sharing their High Noon bill with Margot And The Nuclear So And So's. It has also slipped out that math-rockers Maps And Atlases and former Madisonians Solid Gold will play the festival on Sept. 19, and California's Princeton is due to perform on Sept. 18.
