Go see The Wolf Knife Feb. 11 if you think you can handle it

When Variety reviewed Laurel Nakadate’s 2010 film The Wolf Knife, it mentioned that many people walked out at the 15-minute mark and that it was surprised even more didn’t hightail it out of there 45 minutes later. That seems to be a common thread with much of the press surrounding the film: that it’s an extremely challenging film and that it generally makes viewers feel creepy and voyeuristic. The picture focuses mainly on the relationship of two young girls living in Florida and the darkness they encounter when they decide to roadtrip it to Tennessee. If that sounds interesting, the Madison debut of the film is coming up on Feb. 11 at the 1308 Gallery in Union South.
