Hear Yeasayer's Odd Blood early this Saturday at Strictly Discs
More Just Announced
UPDATE: The listening party has been moved to Saturday, and will take place from noon to 5 p.m., according to Strictly Discs.
Assuming you haven't already swiped it in sonically luxurious .zip file format, your best shot at hearing worldly space-wanderers Yeasayer's forthcoming album, Odd Blood, this week would be to head down to a listening-party promotion being held at a few record stores across the land, including Madison's own Strictly Discs (1900 Monroe St., 608-259-1991), on Saturday. (We'll have an actual time for you soon.) In addition to playing the album well before its Feb. 9 release—and the band's April 28 show at the Majestic Theatre—the store will be selling the album on vinyl. Hell, even if you don't enjoy Yeasayer's strangely new-age-y peyote-dabbler music, you have to at least be curious about what it's like to hang around listening to it with a bunch of strangers, right?
