Help John Statz press his album, get a signed copy
Adam Perkins
Baseballs, birth certificates, even casts are all better when they’re signed. Same thing goes for albums (if not double), but only if they see the light of day. Madison folkie John Statz says the release of his new album, Ghost Towns, is close, but after busting his ass cooking, substitute teaching, and landscaping to finance it, he’s understandably tired and looking for a little help pushing it past the finish line.
In an effort to help offset the tremendous costs of printing and pressing a record, Statz is seeking donations and promising anyone who donates $12 or more will get a signed—and therefore, more awesome—copy of the new album in the mail. If you were planning on buying Ghost Towns anyway, this is a good way to help one of the hardest-working musicians in Madison take a load off.
Donate here, see Statz Tuesday night at the High Noon Saloon, and listen to the new countrified single "Disclaimer" here while waiting for your freshly John-Hancocked album to show up.
