Jimmy Buffett to play Alpine Valley in August
Come summer, Wisconsin trades its bushy beards for pencil-thin mustaches and adopts the optimistic mindset of, as the old term goes, "a pirate at 40," and throws our statewide healthy habits to the wind in favor of a "why don't we get drunk and screw?" attitude. Coincidentally, Jimmy Buffett And The Coral Reefer Band are all about that kind of stuff, and they'll be heading up from their leathery-tanned shores to play at Alpine Valley on Aug. 29. It takes a lot to make that place feel like a tiki bar, so don't forget to wear the loudest Hawaiian shirt in your closet. Or, in a pinch, any apparel sold at a Ron Jon Surf Shop will do.
