Kris Allen at the Overture Center
Remember that nice young man who was standing next to Adam Lambert when he came in second during the American Idol season eight finale last year? His name is Kris Allen, and it turns out that besides an uncanny ability to derail seemingly unstoppable falsetto freight trains in nationally televised karaoke competitions, he also has a music career. As proof of this career, he'll be touring this summer in support of his self-titled debut album, including a stop at the Overture Center on June 1.
American Idol fans should be psyched for this regardless of who they were rooting for, and everyone else can at least say they saw the guy who once stood really close to Adam Lambert. Tickets are $25 and go on sale May 1.
