For those interested in drugs, violence, murder, and supporting some of Madison’s finest local artists, a new short film series by Rob Matsushita debuted today under the title of Chapel: The Series. The Chapel character has existed in various forms for awhile now—in Wis-Kino films, as well as in the self-published novel, The Fix Up, penned by contributing writer and lead Emily Mills—but now it’ll be a monthly occurrence. The episode premiering today is titled “Audited,” and it’s actually a prequel of sorts to the existing installments “Complicated,” “Distracted,” and “Extremed.” For the uninitiated, this setup is relatively clear-cut: Chapel is a drug dealer. Bad things happen.
