HOLIDAY SALE AT THE ONION STORE

More paintings and tomfoolery (and music and comedy)

dan deacon Dan Deacon

Hey folks, Decider is rounding up new shows for our usual "Just Announced" post tomorrow, but here are a few especially pressing ones:

Dan Deacon, whose Forward Fest set showed off his skill at wrangling weird electronics and effects, while provoking show-goers to engage in organized horseplay and shenanigans, returns to the Majestic on May 4. Prepare yourself with this clip:

Cloud Cult brings back its more earnest and spiritual sense of theatricality (still touring with those two on-stage painters, whose work is then auctioned off to show-goers), March 27 at the High Noon.

The Broken West don't have any especially crazy antics, but they do write some good songs. They played here last fall at the Orpheum Stage door, and play there again on March 14.

Comedian Doug Stanhope has a way of being funny enough to get away with his sleazy-dude persona (think Dave Attell with a more ranting-libertarian bent). Prepare for his April 3 show at The Annex with this clip:
