Naked Girls Reading at the Inferno is exactly what it sounds like
It almost seems like too simple of an idea, and too good to be true, but Naked Girls Reading, the semi-regular event occurring this Sunday at the Inferno, is precisely what it advertises itself as: girls, naked, reading to an audience. Dane 101 ran a nice profile earlier this year, but the short story is that it was started in Chicago by a showgirl, who then rounded it out with women from burlesque troupes, and now has opened official franchises in a number of cities, including Madison.
Attendees lucky enough to get one of the 50 tickets available for Sunday’s “Slumber Party”-themed event can expect selections from Judy Blume and Sarah Vowell read by Babe Lincoln, Cheeky Friday, Isabeau, and Moxie Rhodes, who you may remember as the blood-soaked dancer in the Droids Attack video for “Great Wall Of ’Gina.’” Come for the nudity; stay for the literature—or the other way around. Whatever works.
