NPR to webcast tonight’s Bon Iver show

More Just Announced
Since kicking off a sprawling tour with a revelatory two-night stint in Milwaukee, Bon Iver has gone on to entertain untold thousands of adoring, sensitive, and quite possibly bearded fans. (Though, as far as we know, Milwaukee has been the only city to declare a super-special “Bon Iver Day.”) But those of you who haven’t been able to score tickets to these shows—and prefer not to watch emotionally overwhelming concert experiences via crummy YouTube clips—are in luck: NPR Music will be webcasting tonight’s Bon Iver set from the 9:30 Club in Washington, D.C. The show, as you may have guessed, begins at 9:30 p.m. Eastern time.
Sure, it’s no substitute for the real thing, and not a whole lot better than watching the show via those aforementioned YouTube clips, but at least you can count on the folks at NPR to provide some terrific audio. And those fans who are on the go can probably somehow piss off David Lynch by streaming the show directly to their phones with NPR Music’s iPhone app. Normal data rates and/or poor reception in your cabin may apply.
