Oh, by the way: Sufjan Stevens to appear at Project Lodge tonight

How do you turn a humble little film-screening and string-quartet performance into a fan-boy and -girl stampede? Announce that Sufjan Stevens is going to be there. Tonight at the Project Lodge, Stevens is set to introduce his short film The BQE--and not do anything else, as far as we're aware--as part of an evening that also includes Osso's stringed intepretations of Stevens' instrumental album Enjoy Your Rabbit. As we've mentioned before, Osso includes Marla Hansen, a violist who's done some very nice solo songs in addition to playing behind Stevens, and on such great works as The National's Boxer. Word of Stevens' appearance has been getting around via Pitchfork and Twitter the past couple of days, so the Project Lodge folks--probably anticipating a clusterfuck at their wee venue--are asking people to reserve tickets in advance.
UPDATE 12 p.m.: The Project Lodge's Brooke Jackson announces via Twitter that all the tickets are taken. She also jokingly refers to the event as a "Sufjan Stevens sighting." Nice.
