Photos: Tuesday evening protests at the Capitol

Tuesday’s budget battle took a turn when the state Supreme Court ruled in favor of enacting Gov. Scott Walker’s union-dissing collective bargaining plan, making it only a matter of time before the law was on the books. But still, the Governor’s opponents showed up in droves, Nick Nice spun records while keeping the updates coming on Twitter, impossibly cool kids led marching bands, clever signs roamed the square, and—most importantly—things remained peaceful. No doubt things will continue this way as the budget keeps moving through the state Assembly and Senate this week. And don’t think for a second that those dogs wearing signs will give up the fight.
