Social Distortion at the Orpheum Theatre
Social Distortion
More Just Announced
Say what you will about the band’s music, but there’s something impressive about the fact that more than three decades after its formation, Social Distortion continues to sell out venues across America. Leader Mike Ness’ popularity didn’t come easy, though: Since forming the roots-meets-hardcore outfit in the late-’70s, the singer-guitarist has weathered everything from drug addiction to a loss of musical focus, although he’s managed to maintain a readily identifiable style all these years. The band signed to Epitaph for its newest release, 2011’s Hard Times And Nursery Rhymes, its first since 2004’s Sex, Love, And Rock ’N’ Roll.
Judge the new material for yourself—along with the classics—when Social D plays the Orpheum Theatre Nov. 29. General admission tickets are $35 and go on sale August 27 at all Ticketmaster locations (like the Alliant Energy Center box office) as well as B-Side Records and Strictly Discs, or you can order by phone (800-745-3000) or online at Ticketmaster.com.
