Squeeze, Kevin Smith, and more
Squeeze is playing the Barrymore on July 8.
More Just Announced
Squeeze rode in during the new wave trend of the late ’70s and early ’80s, but the group’s rich soul-pop didn’t exactly mesh with the angular jaggedness of the genre. Bursting with emotion but never overwrought, Squeeze continually shot out perfect pop nuggets, which many (including The A.V. Club) were introduced to while watching Winona Ryder crash her car while singing “Tempted” in Reality Bites. Turns out the band has a ton of hits (not much new material) so we’re pretty excited for this show.
