Bored of aimless browsing at Madison's popular farmers markets? In Stand By Your Stand, Decider heads out to find their best and strangest offerings, and tips on how to use them.

The source: Madison.

Wares: Cookies, breads, bagels, cinnamon rolls, morning buns, Danish coffee cakes, Danish snails, donuts, turnovers, croissants, bars, buns, muffins, and hot and spicy cheese bread. So in other words, any sticky, gooey, and delicious sugar-filled treat you can image.

Best deal: A huge cherry, apple, blueberry, cheese, or raspberry Danish for $5. One is enough to feed four people.

Weirdest item: Donuts and fry cakes. What's called a fry cake here looks and tastes just like a donut, while the so-called "donuts" are actually fritters, crullers, and bismarks.

Serving suggestion: As if eating one of the cinnamon rolls or morning buns wasn't enough to make your heart stop, try slicing them up for the most decadent and artery-clogging French toast you've ever had.

Find it at: Dane County Farmers' Market, Saturdays, 6 a.m.-2 p.m., Capitol Square, through Nov. 7.
