Sufjan Stevens to get cozy across America

By now, Sufjan Stevens is one of those guys who could really get away with hogging it, taking his act to increasingly bigger venues that might spoil the effect of his delicately orchestrated tunes. But is he going to do that on his next swing through the States? Hell no! Instead, Stevens and his Asthmatic Kitty labelmates Cryptacize will embark next month on a tour of moderately sized clubs and theaters, including a Sept. 28 show at our very own Majestic Theatre. A Pitchfork report on the tour gives us reason to believe Stevens will be including songs from across his discography. The whole tour goes on sale Friday morning, with a few caveats: It'll probably sell out, all tickets are will-call, and there's a limit of two tickets per purchaser to ward off the scalpers. Again, that anti-hogging-it attitude, from an increasingly popular artist, is something we can appreciate. (And the $15 ticket price seems pretty reasonable, all considered.) So is a guy who will sing about a serial killer while wearing butterfly wings:
