Talib Kweli and Sharon Jones And The Dap-Kings coming (separately) to the Capitol Theater at the Overture Center

Talib Kweli released a stone classic as Black Star (along with Mos Def) with its 1998 self-titled LP. Not that the thoughtful, proficient MC hasn’t been busy since then (recently releasing the solo album Gutter Rainbows), but once you’ve been a part of something like Black Star, everything else is icing on the cake. That’s why we’re particularly excited to see that Kweli will be playing at the Capitol Theater in the Overture Center on April 23. Tickets are $25 in advance and are available during a special online presale on March 10 from 11 a.m.-10 p.m. (Use the password RAINBOWS.) Otherwise, tickets go on sale March 11 at 11 a.m.
