No matter what your opinion of The Decemberists’ overstuffed The Hazards Of Love is, watching the band rip through it live was monumental. The Decemberists recently released the follow-up, The King Is Dead, and it’s a much more stripped-down version of the prog-rock pulverizer that stormed the Overture Center two years ago. But that shouldn’t make it any less satisfying when the band returns to that same stage on April 19.
Tickets are $32.50-$36.50 and will be available at the Overture Center box office, by phone, and online at the Overture Center and True Endeavors sites beginning Saturday, Feb. 12 at 11 a.m. Judging by the recap of the band’s Milwaukee show this past weekend, it should be well worth the dough.
