The Mountain Goats to play High Noon Saloon in November
Keeping with the theme of The Mountain Goats' upcoming Bible-thumping LP,The Life Of The World To Come, John Darnielle and company will wander the desert (read: go on a promotional tour) for roughly 40 days and 40 nights this fall, including a Nov. 6 stop at the High Noon Saloon. Though he still tends to dabble in the form himself, reformed one-man band Darnielle continues to reach out to those with less supportive bodies on stage than he (like last fall's Mountain Goats tour-and-EP-mate Kaki King), granting the opening slot on the tour to string-plucking whiz kid Owen Pallett, a.k.a. Final Fantasy. This is the word of Darnielle, thanks be unto 4AD: The Life And The World To Come is available Oct. 6. Preview the "fun with breaking-and-entering" track (and "Brule's Rules" theme soundalike) "Genesis 3:23" here.
