Wilco announces free Obama gig at Union Theater

The Obama campaign is bringing in Chicago's mighty Wilco for a free "Concert for Change" this Saturday at noon the Wisconsin Union Theater, the Wisconsin State Journal reports. Granted, it's a three-member version of the band: leader Jeff Tweedy, bassist John Stirratt, and multi-instrumentalist Pat Sansone. Will they be able to effect change without Nels Cline's jaw-droppingly beautiful guitar work? The curious can jockey for free tickets tomorrow at the campaign's office at 216 N. Henry St., or on Wednesday at the Dane County Farmers' Market on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.
