Willie Nelson to play Overture Hall on March 16
It seems the country gods have smiled down upon Madison recently: Emmylou Harris played an October 2009 show at Overture Hall, and the venue has just announced that Willie Nelson will play there on March 16. Granted, we've got some other good holdovers coming up before then—like Justin Townes Earles' Feb. 26 show at the High Noon Saloon—but Nelson's just about the most storied, accomplished artist set for a Madison show so far this year. The show's being billed as a "greatest hits live" deal, and will likely also include some songs from the wise old outlaw's 2009 album American Classic. Tickets go on sale Saturday, Feb. 6 at 10 a.m.
